An Attorney Writ Bond and an Attorney Bail Bond are two different types of bonds. A writ bond is when an attorney gets a bond set prior to the inmate seeing a Magistrate to set the bond. A bail bond is posted once the inmate has seen the Magistrate and a bond on the case has been set.

A writ bond is only available in certain cirmstances and in certain cases. The charge must be a Class A or Class B misdemeanor. Writ Bonds do not apply to felony charges or Class C traffic tickets.
